Chex muddy buddies

Chex muddy buddies is a family favorite around our house! We make this little treat around the holidays and it s usually gone by morning time.

This is our little girl Tatum who loves helping us make it and eat it as well!
(Karla also made her apron.. i have a matching apron as well)

Ingredients:

9 cups corn chex

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cups peanut butter

1/4 cup butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

11/2 cup powdered sugar

Directions:

1. Into a large bowl, measure cereal: set aside

2. In 1 quart microwavable bowl, microwave choc. chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on high 1 minute" stir, microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until is all coated evenly!
pour into a 2 gallon resealable plastic bag.

3. Add powdered sugar. seat bag and shake until coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. ( which we never do cause i am too anxious to eat it.) Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

I got this recipe right off the chex cereal box!

ENJOY!!!!

  1. I love to bake, so I can't pick a favorite holiday treat. But I do love making - and eating - Peanut Butter Blossoms. They're peanut butter cookies but instead of pressing a fork on them in a criss-cross pattern before baking, you place a Hershey's Kiss in the center immediately after taking them out of the oven. A big hit with my family.
