Envy my Kitchen

My name is Janet from Cul-DE-Sac Chic and welcome to my kitchen ladies.

I recently left my career as an Accountant to focus my time on my family and home. We bought our first home in 2008 after many years of moving and renting. The home has a large downstairs family room and a great room area upstairs. We were able to look past the blue and cream cabinets in the kitchen since this layout was perfect for us.

I saw black kitchen cabinets on the internet and just fell in love. We needed a really economical choice of flooring for the kitchen, so we choose black and white vinyl tile. I tried a really light blue wall color, but it felt dark in the Kitchen. I finally painted it Tapestry Beige by Benjamin Moore and it just brightened up. The apron sink is my favorite part of the kitchen. I am so glad IKEA sells an affordable one. We finished off with new counter-tops from IKEA and beadboard backsplash.
