We moved about two years ago from a tiny condo to our new home. In our condo the kitchen was so small that two people could barely fit in it. So I knew that when we got our home I wanted an open kitchen. A kitchen that could fit more than two! We looked through magazine after magazine and a ton of photos on the Internet. There really wasn't just one kitchen that inspired us it was probably at least ten. My husband and I finally decided on white and then bead board to give the cabinets a little character. I would have to say the style we were going for was a little country but traditional at the same time and white because I think it opens up a room and makes it look clean. Of course I'm not a professional designer. All of the decorations I've collected over the years from antique shops and boutiques. I have to admit I'm a little patriotic. If you saw the rest of my house you would see just how many red, white and blue items fill my house.
Thanks for visiting my kitchen!

P.S. In the crock pot on the counter (in this picture)is the recipe you posted "Green Chile Chicken Burrito". We had it for dinner and it was yummy!
